Hey, I’m Jacob Tew, and I’m from a little town you’ve probably never heard of — Altha, Florida. Population: maybe 500 on a good day. No stoplights, no Starbucks, and not a lot going on. But we made it work. Growing up there taught me how to get creative, make the most out of what I had, and enjoy the simple things.
I’ve loved photography since I was a kid. I used to sneak off with my grandma’s disposable camera and take pictures of everything — goofy selfies, random stuff around the house, her sitting in her rocking chair. None of those shots were good, but they sparked something in me. I loved being able to capture a moment before it disappeared.
In high school, I started working in property management on the beach. Between handling listings and cleaning up rentals, I discovered photo editing — and that’s when it really clicked. I realized I didn’t just like taking photos… I needed to. It felt right.
Now I live by the beach with my partner of six years and our rescue pup, Mr. Tarkin. He came from a rough start but turned into the happiest little dog ever. He’s got a best friend, Lilly, and her grandparents constantly ask for more playdates — those two are a duo.
I love to travel and go to Disney every year — because honestly, who can hate a talking mouse? The furthest I’ve gone so far is Arizona, and I loved every second of it. The dry heat there beats Florida’s humidity any day.
This is the life I’ve built, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. From stealing my grandma’s camera to shooting professional photos, it’s been a crazy journey — but every step has led me here. And honestly, I’m just getting started.
